Let's start with some opening dates of interest.


1/15 update: The deadline (spoilered below) has now passed for submitting edits and joining the draft. I will not be accepting any new edits submitted to the draft. If you want to join the draft as a drafter, you have to wait until a current drafter drops out and then you can take their place in the rotation.



- Saturday, January 15: Submit your Edits to be drafted and tell me that you want to draft.

Tell me if you want to submit an edit and/or be part of the group drafting edits.

I have to randomize the list of drafters and come up with the "snake style" format. 

I will let everyone know what the draft order is by Sunday, January 16.


- Saturday, January 22: First Round of Draft Begins at 12:00 AM!! GET EXCITE!~


We are now waiting for this stage of the draft.  I recommend spending the next week coming up with your draft lists and then sending it to me so I have it in case you are not around during your drafting times.  The first round of the draft will start officially at midnight on Saturday, January 22 with desertpunk34  having 36 hours of eligibility to make his first pick.



Rules:

1) Post in this thread or PM me if I have forgotten something crucial to add in this thread!!

2) After January 15th, I won't accept new edits or new people drafting edits. However, drafters usually start dropping out by the 4th or 5th round. A prospective drafter can take over a slot left by someone who leaves.

3) Steam Workshop edits only.  That wasn't an issue for the last draft and I doubt it will be here.

4) Hide your edit on Steam if they are public now.  That way you can assure only the person who drafts them will be able to access them.  It's very easy to share your edit even when they are on private by just using the "Add/remove Contributors" section on the right of a Workshop page and marking the winner of that edit as a contributor to that edit.

5) This draft was primarily meant for full edits with parameters, moves, and logic and those edits are the standard. That means that we are assuming all edits submitted to the draft have full moves and logic.   We are still allowing "appearance only" edits. However, make it clear if your edit is "appearance only" so people know. 

6)  Tell us if your edit is using Parts Craft at all since not everyone has it.

7) You are allowed to change edits any way that you want once you choose and download them.

8) Trades for edit picks are allowed but no trades for drafting slots.

That means if you have the first eligibility slot of each round, you can't trade your eligibility slots for someone's drafted edit. That becomes stressful for me to manage and is therefore VERBOTEN!

As for trading edits, that's fine but don't pester anyone. If you want to request a trade, just post in the thread that you are interested and then someone else can PM you if they want to go through with it.

Suggestion:

- When you have finished your desired draft list, send it to me. That way I can draft on your behalf if you are not around during your designated draft window.  The system works and saves lives picks.



Process:

1) Creation: Everyone who wants to create edits for the draft has until January 15th to submit them to the draft. All you need to do to submit them is PM me or post in this thread what their name is and provide a picture. 


2) Drafting:

- We will be using a "snake style" format for the order of the draft as we did last time 🐍

- Once it is your turn, you will have 36 hours to make your choice for an exclusive download of that edit. Once you've made your choice or the time runs out, the next person is allowed to choose when ready.

- If you miss your turn, you can still choose among the edits still available but it will be non-exclusive.


Exclusive vs. Non-Exclusive edits: If you choose during your eligibility window, any edit you pick is then removed from eligibility for anyone else.  If you miss your turn, you can still make a choice but you can't prevent others from downloading that edit during their next turn.  That means that if no one has chosen "Bam-Jam Syrupe: The Belgian Breakfast Banger 🥞"  you can choose him but they stay on the list of eligibility for others to choose them. This draft is for FUN so we're allowing late picks. But, to be fair. to those who draft on time (and who send me a list), people choosing after their eligible window can only get non-exclusive status and can't prevent someone else from drafting the same edit.


- We will run this draft into the ground with as many rounds as necessary until people get tired of it and keel over. I reserve the right to declare the draft over when I see significant lack of activity.  After it ends, any edits that are left over can be  a) claimed by request post, b) put into the pool for the next draft or c) set adrift on a block of ice in shame and infamy.
