Episode #17 Results Quick Results Sam Horne defeated Leona Sterling (Phoenix Rising) Bradley Carr defeated Blair Taylor (The Office) Elle Barrett (Wacker Drive Revival) defeated Ruthless Nicole Alger (UCSS Mallory Spaulding (Phoenix Rising) defeated Rory Burton Walid Alizadeh (UCSS) defeated Cody Sheppard The Bingo Hall Mutants (Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah from PEWA) defeated Zhenka Streltsov and Sanya Markov (Phoenix Rising) Lexie Barrett defeated Candace Monroe (Phoenix Rising)
Write Ups It might not be a particularly refined style, but perhaps there’s no substitute for throwing someone down and beating them up on the floor. Sam Horne might not have a lot going for him, but he does have that, and it was enough to overcome Sterling’s MMA experience. Some might have predicted a fast match, but instead we got a drawn out grapplefest, with both competitors repeatedly fighting for position on the mat and fishing for pins. Despite almost running out of gas, Bradley Carr found just enough in himself to wrestle his way into a pin. At some point, Elle Barrett is going to stop being the underdog. While Nicole found enough space to clearly tire out Elle’s arms and find a chance to use her signature Armripper, Elle remained in control for much of the match and was able use her own Barrett Crusher, eventually getting the pin. A protracted back and forth battle, but Mallory Spaulding found a lead by the end and took the match off her impressive lifting and suplexing work. A return to form for Walid, with a dominant victory despite Cody’s best efforts. A marathon of a match by most standards, let alone in Butterfloor. While Skullface drew blood from Sanya early on with a fork, Sanya fought on. It was a slugfest, with neither side really seeming in the lead. Later in the match, Team Russia tried to gain an advantage by spilling the match outside their corner, but ultimately the Mutants would land back-to-back tag moves on Zhenka for the win. Perhaps a longer match than predicted, but no less electric. The two traded blows and grappled around the mat, never letting the other have the advantage for too long. Both seemed to be trying to work the other’s legs. Both seemed to want to win by submission… though perhaps ref stoppage was more likely, given the tenacity of both women. But when Lexie… tried to make Candace feel a little too good on the mat… Well, the noise Candace made was about as good as a verbal submission. (It also made cutting that match for rebroadcast a nightmare, but that’s neither here nor there…)

Episode #18 Results Quick Results Mega Meat (Wrestle Parade) defeated Virginia Caldwell (Blackwood Academy) Tristan Pacheco defeated Sam Horne Odin Brockhouse defeated Blair Taylor (The Office) Hannes Lefeuvre drew with Edhem Yavas The American Apex (Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren from Wrestle Parade) defeated Bunch'a Amateurs (Cody Sheppard and Zak Hayes) Concrete Pete (Evergreen) defeated Oak Man Ruthless Nicole Alger (UCSS) defeated Lexie Barrett
Write-Ups An impressive showing from the Academy rep, laying on the pressure and driving the Meat Meat to near exhaustion. But the veteran found the space to compose himself, and found the pin with his technical expertise. A back-and-forth struggle, with Horne’s brutal roughhousing staved off by Tristan’s speed. Horne almost put Tristan away with the brass knuckles, and Tristan almost put himself away from the top. But after struggle on the mat, Tristan outlasted Horne and got the tap with his own headbutts. An absolute clash of wrestling philosophies, as Blair’s technical nonviolence met one of the most violent nonhardcore brawlers in Odin. Taylor fought to wear Odin down and find a pin, all while enduring Odin’s biting and abuse. But Odin himself is no slouch on the mat, and after eighteen minutes of Odin’s animalistic fury, Blair tapped out. Well, sometimes the competitors get so focused on wrestling they forget where they’re supposed to wrestle. The match spilled outside, and before the five minute mark, both competitors were counted out. As everyone expected, a lot of technical wrestling and matwork in this tag match, a slog for all the competitors despite being a relatively short match. In the end, Lamont found a headlock onto Cody, and that was enough for the tap. Whatever beef Oak Man might have with Evergreen, he didn’t get to make much of a statement here. Despite landing a big driver from the top rope, Oak Man was unable to get the win, and Pete landed multiple of his own piledriver. Pete brought the match outside, and just as both competitors got back in, Oak Man threw Pete right back out. It would ultimately prove to be Oak Man’s undoing, as after a brawl on the outside, Pete managed to climb back inside the ring, but Oak Man was too tired to follow and was counted out. Despite a stipulation there would be no countouts, it was hardly needed at all. The match stayed inside the ring, both wrestlers laser focused on each other. Instead of extended grappling sessions, matwork was initiated and quickly cashed out from both competitors. Lexie also tried her usual “signature” techniques, perhaps encouraged by how they had worked last week on Nicole’s partner, Candace. But Nicole maintained her focus, and in a small surprise, landed a deadlift driver into the three to take the title.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, but now as Mariah Carey wakes up from her frozen slumber, so too does Butterfloor finally have its full staff back in the office and working again, here to give you the card for Butterfloor Episode #19! The Boston Star (Wrestle Parade) versus The Headless Holdsman The challenge of the undead calls some of wrestling’s greatest (or craziest, depending on who you ask) to the floor of butter. The next challenger to the Headless Hall of Fame is the Boston Star, from Wrestle Parade, seeking to be the third inductee. Anita Silva versus Zhenka Streltsov Anita had a rough start in Butterfloor, but she seems to have found some footing after her victory over Arthur Evans in her last appearance. Now she looks to carry that momentum into this match against Zhenka, who has not had much success since winning the tag tournament. Big Bubba Bob (TIPWF) versus Walid Alizadeh (UCSS) To Walid’s credit, he has not been shying away from difficult foes since his defeat to Odin. To that end, he faces Big Bubba Bob, one of the current Butterfloor tag champions and member of the dominant — not just in Butterfloor, but across the wrestling world — Butter Enthusiast Coalition. Leona Sterling (Phoenix Rising) versus Candace Monroe (Phoenix Rising) A lot could be said here. A lot has happened since these two last met at Phoenix Rising’s World Cup. I could trace storylines, mention win records, or point out this match likely has implications for one of two contender slots for the new open singles title. But come on. It’s Leona Sterling versus Candace Monroe. Do I need to say more? Rory Burton versus Lexie Barrett Lexie Barrett might no longer hold her eponymous title, but it would be foolish to discount her standing in Butterfloor — or what opportunities might come from beating her. And so Rory Burton has challenged Lexie, in a bid to propel his name forward in contender candidates for Butterfloor’s original singles title. Elle Barrett (Wacker Drive Revival) versus Revon Beauregard (Wrestle Parade) Speaking of the Lexie Barrett title, two more wrestlers seek to challenge the newly-christened RNA. Both Elle Barrett and Revon Beauregard are commonly underrated and overlooked, and both have shown time and time again why underestimating them is a grave mistake. Mallory Spaulding (Phoenix Rising) versus Bradley Carr Similar to our previous match, both Mallory Spaulding and Bradley Carr have been on hot streaks going into this match. However, these two will be fighting for a slot in next show’s open title singles match instead. Months ago, Bradley defeated Mallory, but that’s a distant memory for both competitors, likely far more focused on the chance have their own title named after them. The American Apex (Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren from Wrestle Parade) versus The Bingo Hall Mutants (Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah from PEWA) Finally, a match to determine who will challenge the B.E.C. next show for Butterfloor’s tag titles. Both teams have been around in Butterfloor for quite some time now. The Apex found early success but fell short against The Privileged in their first attempt at title contendership. Meanwhile, the Bingo Hall Mutants surprisingly struggled to find footing at first, and have only relatively recently found momentum in Butterfloor. Both teams are undoubtedly hungry (perhaps literally, considering this is Butterfloor) for a shot that has eluded both teams for some time.

A message from Ruthless Nicole Alger Ruthless Nicole Alger: Yeah, yeah, I'm late. I know it. Real late. Thought my win spoke for itself. But I hear from Dad, Thiago, Candace, all of them tell me to get this out there. So now I got my belt. Lexie...we had a fun time. Said lots of things. But you don't just talk. You can fight. We'll meet again, I'm sure of it. But yeah, me and Candace, we both got our belts. She got her Phoenix Rising World title, I got my, um, Butterfloor Lexie Barrett title. Yeah, I don't care, I'm proud of it. Don't even care that it's got her name on it. Even those pics she took with it that got leaked...yeah, I'll clean it real good. So, now I gotta find a challenger. Looks like that Carr guy is doing good. He wants to come get some, he can. That "Liz" lady seems like she's another one. I'll take her on, too. Basically, anyone Butterfloor's got that wants a shot...I'm good. I want to be a real champ. A fighting champ. I lose it, I lose it. But I'd like to take a few arms, and maybe make a name for myself...and put it on a belt.

Episode #19 Results Quick Results The Headless Holdsman defeated The Boston Star (Wrestle Parade) Zhenka Streltsov defeated Anita Silva Walid Alizadeh (UCSS) defeated Big Bubba Bob (TIPWF) Candace Monroe (Phoenix Rising) defeated Leona Sterling (Phoenix Rising) Lexie Barrett defeated Rory Burton Revon Beauregard (Wrestle Parade) defeated Elle Barrett (Wacker Drive Revival) Bradley Carr defeated Mallory Spaulding (Phoenix Rising) The American Apex (Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren from Wrestle Parade) defeated The Bingo Hall Mutants (Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah from PEWA)
Write-Ups The Boston Star gave it as good as she got, landing a near-fall, but as the fight dragged on the toll was too much for her, and she was forced to a late, if unceremonious, tap to a headlock. Anita kept the match mostly clean in the start… and that might have been to her detriment, as Zhenka took control with his powerful slaps. Anita went for some cheeky low blows late in the match, but by then it was too late and Zhenka found the pin off a press powerslam. Walid might not have been able to leverage a size advantage like he normally does, but that just allowed his strength to shine through. Despite Big Bubba’s own size, Walid was able to throw him around like anyone else. Big Bubba got his own near-falls, but ran out of steam and was unable to stop Walid from wrestling into a pin for the three. As expected, this match delivered. We got to see the MMA backgrounds of both women shine through… as well as a spot where both women just punched each other in the face over and over. Candace finally finished the match with a stunner, once again demonstrating she has the upper hand in their feud for now. If her loss of the title made you wonder if Lexie was slipping, this match should get you to reconsider. Despite taking two of Rory’s biggest moves, including his signature Butter-Side Down, Lexie still felt like she was in control, reversing Rory’s attempt at matwork into a leglock for the submission. Elle tried to find a pin that worked, but Revon controlled the entire match, taking the win after a massive stomp from the top. Wrestling Bradley Carr is an exhausting affair. Even when it feels like you might be ahead, the man will continue to grapple you until you’re too exhausted to resist. Despite Mallory landing multiple big suplexes on Bradley, he ultimately found the win from a choke on the mat. A lot of people had the Bingo Hall Mutants as the favorites to win this match, and to be fair, that’s rarely a bad bet to make. But despite facing a significant size disadvantage, the American Apex powered on. Even as the weapons came out from the Mutants, the Apex endured. Slowly but surely, the Apex found time and space to land their own powerful suplxes. Finally, after many near falls and close saves, Lamont landed the Apex Slam deep in his corner onto Skullface for the win.

And so another title cycle in Butterfloor draws to a close, and with the Second Open Singles Title completely open, we have two contenders lined up for the title. Here's the card for Butterfloor Episode #20! Sanya Markov (Phoenix Rising) versus Edhem Yavas While Sanya is better known on Butterfloor for his tag team with Zhenka, this match he is flying solo, facing one of Butterfloor’s most well-known competitors. Sanya comes into this match looking for some redemption after an ignominious defeat to fellow Butterfloor regular Concrete Pete at Evergreen, while Edhem looks for a match outcome after a very silly countout draw in his last match against Hannes. Lexie Barrett and Priya Mallaya versus Shaka Zulu (Shaka Corbin from Blackrose and Zulu Lionheart from PEWA) Lexie and Priya seek to finally get their first doubles tag win, but they’ve chosen no small try to face for it, as they face fan favorite Team Shaka Zulu. Both Lexie and Zulu Lionheart may have lost their singles titles recently, but neither seem to be discouraged. A win here would go a long way for either team in their road to the tag titles. Elizabeth "Liz" McKenna versus Oleg Makos (UCSS) For once, Liz is not getting mixed up in another suplex contest. Well, not intentionally, at least. Instead, she faces the ever-present and ever-self-promoting Oleg Makos, perhaps trying to convince Liz to let him help her promote her cause. The Privileged (Michelle Rochefort, Revon Beauregard, Drake Elliot IV, and Tonya Reese from Wrestle Parade) versus Tom Balls and ??? Perhaps in a show of force leading up to what many expect to be Revon challenging Ruthless Nicole Alger for the Lexie Barrett title, the Privileged have issued an open challenge to a four-on-four match. One wonders if the timing was meant to give them the win by default, as the only other major faction, the B.E.C., will be occupied with their tag title defense, and even if Lexie’s squad had found a fourth member, they too have their own match this show. Still, we have been told someone has stepped up to the challenge. All we know is the team is being headed by the other infamous brother, Tom Balls… whatever portend that has. The Necrolord versus Zak Hayes After a rather embarrassing sweep at Sakura Pro’s Unit Battle Festival, the Necrolord has apparently decided that if you want something done right, do it yourself. Either that, or he needs better help. He may seek to achieve both here, as he faces half of the Bunch’a Amateurs in Zak Hayes. The American Apex (Keith Van Horne and Lamont Aldren from Wrestle Parade) versus Concrete Pete (Evergreen) and Big Bubba Bob (TIPWF) The first title cycle the American Apex competed for, their run was stopped short by the Privileged, just shy of challenging for the titles themselves. This time, they’re the ones contending for the titles. The American Apex have done well for themselves in Butterfloor, and taking the titles would be the ultimate culmination of that. But they face a team that has become a juggernaut amongst teams. Around the wrestling world, yes, but nowhere better seen than in Butterfloor, with the B.E.C.’s members doing consistently well and the team continuing to defend the title ever since the first title show. Its members might have been seen as underdogs coming into Butterfloor given the stylistic clash, but those days are clearly behind us. The question must be asked once again: Can the B.E.C. continue their title reign, or will the American Apex finally topple them? Bradley Carr versus Candace Monroe (Phoenix Rising) Bradley Carr might not be the first star that comes to mind when someone mentions Butterfloor, but it’s certainly not for lack of trying. The leader of his eponymous one-man faction has quietly built up one of the best singles records in Butterfloor despite being a regular on the show. There’s no doubt the man whose faction is just his name would love the chance to have a title named after him. Meanwhile, Candace Monroe’s rise as Phoenix Rising’s World Champion has been anything but quiet. While naysayers calling her title win a fluke have mostly disappeared, critics continue to point to her inconsistency, especially in non-stakes matches. But this match certainly has stakes, as she could end the night holding two different titles across two organizations. And in passing, if Monroe wins, the Limbtakers will hold both of Butterfloor’s singles titles. The Second Open Singles Title will be settled as this title cycle comes to a close, and a new era of Butterfloor is at hand. All that remains to be seen is who will lead it. Bradley Carr People been telling me I need to be afraid of Candy-ass over here just because she’s world champ somewhere else. Look, I don’t see the need to be worried about someone who lost to a porn star. Lost by the most pathetic referee stoppage in history, by the way. You think I’m scared just because she’s beaten some other big dudes before? Yeah, well, those big dudes weren’t me. There’s no “different styles clash” here. I can play her game, and I can do it better than she can. People like to make fun of the one-man stable. People like to make fun of my nickname just being my name. Well, you’ll be saying my name a whole lot more after I get the title, and a whole lot more on top of that after I name this title after me. So get used to it. Bradley “Bradley Carr” Carr of the Bradley Carr faction is here to stay.

Candace Monroe "Every time I go into another big match, with something major in play, I always keep my ear to the ground. Watching, waiting. It never fails. First you get the fans excited about another big match.
Then you get the doubters right behind them. Every. Single. Time.
Am I guaranteeing a win over Bradley Carr? Not in the slightest. Anyone who comes out and 'guarantees' a win is either too arrogant for their own good, or they've missed something in preparation. Things go wrong out there. People make mistakes. Championships change hands the moment someone blinks at the wrong moment. And it's your job, out in the ring, to make sure you're not the one that blinks first.
I've heard the doubts for close to four years now. Heard every... last... one. About size, about experience, about 'not being a real wrestler' because of my background. Now take those reasons, and line them up next to the string of wins I've had, the accolades I've claimed, because the highs have been more plentiful than the lows over this past year...
And if you step into that ring across from me with anything less than total focus, an absolute certainty in your preparations, your plan, your execution...
You walk home, not with a championship, but with a limp."

Butterfloor regrets to inform its viewers that tonight's episode has been cancelled, after the staff has been too busy playing other video games the network has replaced our timeslot with a slew of direct-to-TV Christmas movies. I don't get it either, but we have every expectation to be on schedule next week.

Results? Actual promotional writeups? No, you're not getting them because our writing staff is still on holiday, but we did manage to convince the janitor to write just enough to preface the card for Butterfloor Episode #21! Abbie Jones (SWA) versus Sam Horne Lexie’s (still unnamed) team has been struggling for wins in the tag department lately, so Abbie Jones looks to turn the team’s fortunes around in a match against Sam Horne. Aline Richelieu (UCSS) versus Tristan Pacheco Aline has been out of Butterfloor for a while, but for her return she’ll have to face the relatively un-shoot-y Tristan Pacheco. Zhenka Streltsov versus Skidmark (Wrestle Parade) While Zhenka’s normal tag team partner prepares for his own title defense back home, he’ll face a member of one of wrestling’s most dominant factions, the B.E.C.’s Skidmark. Bunch'a Amateurs (Zak Hayes and Cody Sheppard) versus The Wrestling Dead (Necrolord and Hana Darkly from Wrestle Parade?) After a very unfair match last show, the Bunch’a Amateurs are looking for an even revenge match. One has to admire the bravery… or question the foolishness. Hannes Lefeuvre versus Hakim Fields (UCSS) As the year draws to a close, Hannes will face undoubtably his toughest challenge in former UCSS Openweight Champion, Hakim Fields. Revon Beauregard (Wrestle Parade) versus Ruthless Nicole Alger (UCSS) Ruthless Nicole Alger looks to make her first defense of the Lexie Barrett singles title, against a Revon Beauregard that has looked nothing but hot as of late.

Odin Brockhouse Odin Brockhouse stands next to a lake. A massive flock of Canadian geese surrounds him, waddling about and picking at the grass. If you look hard enough you can see… well, maybe some things aren’t worth looking too deeply into.
“When I started in this business, I made it my goal to be the greatest bird in wrestling. I’ve taken my share of names, but I knew I wasn’t going to be able to claim that title staying in this organization. And so, as the birds return from flying south for the winter, now is the time to settle the matter.
Even as we speak, my carrier geese are already delivering invitations all over the world to bird wrestlers to face me and each other for the honor of being the greatest bird in wrestling. I fear no challenger. No matter what kind of bird I face, none can stand against the mighty Canadian goose.
And I don’t want any comparisons between me and some duck. Ducks are ducks. Geese are geese. I’m sick and tired of people confusing geese and ducks. Geese are way cooler than ducks. Geese can actually fight, for one. Also ducks are low-key creepy.
You think I’m afraid of a swallow? Do you know how small swallows are? A swallow is barely a threat to a fly, let alone a goose. All a swallow can do is fly. Congratulations, you can do something almost every bird in the business can do. That’s not an accomplishment.
Speaking of birds that think it’s an accomplishment to fly. Falcons are always so proud of how fast they fly. It’s all you ever hear them talk about. As if there’s any reason to go so fast you might break your own skull. Oh, wait, I know. It’s so they can fly away from a real bird!
Birds of prey are always so full of themselves. You ever seen how proud eagles are? Even when they’re worse than turkeys. Imagine being more pathetic than a bird that’s only known for being eaten once a year. That’s really pathetic. At least turkeys serve a purpose.
Hawks are no better. I’ve see geese fight hawks before. It’s surprisingly common. You know what always happens? The hawk running away from the goose. Every time. It’s so funny seeing a hawk think they can take a goose, only to flap away with its tail between its legs.
But at least all the birds I’ve mentioned so far have been real birds. Can you imagine some human guy getting into a big costume, with some feathers in some gaudy color like bright yellow, and calling that a bird? What a disgrace to birds. Even flightless birds don’t look so ugly.
But the one fictional bird I hate the most is the phoenix. Phoenixes are lame. What are phoenixes good at? Being on fire and dying? Is that it? Everyone acts as if phoenixes are these majestic creatures, but really, they’re actually worthless birds that aren’t even real.
Odin raises a hand to the sky. As if on cue, the assembly of geese begin to honk, raising a massive cacophony. It’s almost impossible to hear Odin over the echoing goose calls.
I am more than ready to face any challengers. I am the greatest bird in wrestling. And I will prove it.

Butterfloor is pleased to announce that it will host the inaugural Greatest Bird in Wrestling Invitational! The snow is melting, the weather is warming, and the birds are returning. Even though our website is basically defunct, we had to kick the servers back online for this. Eight bird-themed wrestlers will compete for the prestigious(?) title of the Greatest Bird in Wrestling. The tournament will have eight rounds of round robin. (Of course it would be a round robin tournament.) After the round robin, the top four competitors will be seeded into a simple single elimination bracket. The winner will have unparalleled bragging rights… and maybe we’ll give them a title shot or something. No promises. Now, Butterfloor is pleased to announce the entrants for this year’s tournament! Odin “The Canadian Gander” Brockhouse Ducky Williams (Ladies Association of Wrestling) Rumika “The Soaring Sparrow” Hashi (Lightning Pro) Jun the Magnificent Falcon (Sakura Pro) Georgia Eagles (Wrestle Parade) Black Hawk (Wrestle Parade) Big Bird Machine (Struggle Pro) Eri “The Little Phoenix” Sentarl (Phoenix Rising)
