Heyo, everyone. I'd like to bring back some older annual events the FPCPP used to have, and one of these events was The Star of The Jar. I myself participated in this tournament, and would like to bring this back, with the Community growing bigger and the imminent arrival of the PlayStation 4 version of Fire Pro World to come.
Now, this is my first proper attempt at booking anything E-Fed related. I don't have proper Internet access currently, but that won't stop me from attempting to do this anyway. They'll be round-ups with screenshots and text only, instead of livestreaming.
My intentions for this tournament is to showcase rookie and newer editmakers to this Community. Veteran editmakers (Those who have been active in the FPCPP/FPWA/Critical! Alliance for over 5 years) who would like to submit a new edit are also accepted.
As such, there are a few particular rules I would like to have anyone interested in this tournament read before we move further, expect revisions:
1. Have Fun. It can be daunting for new creators to get into the moveset selection and AI logic when creating new edits. Remember that this is a Community, and there are creative minds here who are willing to help, too, so don't be afraid to ask. Heck, I'm still asking questions about how to do my edits after a decade of doing so.
2. The edits must be competitive, no Concrete edits allowed. You shouldn't strictly go into this with the intention to win.
3. The maximum amount of points allowed for edits competing in this Star of the Jar is 120. This is a tournament that is aimed for newer edits and their editmakers, and as such, I suggest these edits are at the newcomer/rookie level. No Special skills, and Critical skills are Finish only. No individual attribute can go higher than 7, with the exception of Entertainment Defense.
4. One edit per user. I intend to have an 8 entry minimum, 16 maximum tournament, so I'd like to spread the wealth so to speak.
5. Have Fun. This may be a challenge to read and follow through with all of these rules and regulations, but this shouldn't stop you from trying this out, anyway.
I'm accepting openings for this new version of the Star of the Jar until November 28, and will start proper on December 1. This is ample time for the console owners to submit their own edits for the Star of the Jar.
Until then, catch y'all when I catch y'all.
