Summer 2021 Edit Draft has ended.

Unless someone wants to run the next draft earlier, I'll be starting it in late December. I don't mind at all if someone wants to run the next draft instead of me but I would recommend that we wait a few months just to allow people to work on their edits. If someone wants to run the next draft in early December, that is fine. Otherwise, if you guys don't mind waiting for me to run it in late December, I'm happy to do so 😀

So if I run it, people will have until late December to get their draft edits ready.




Faulknasty and TigerStripePro - I took you both off the list cause you said you were done drafting.

Knocked's window closed an hour ago. His turn started at 6:30 AM on 8/12 and now it's after 6:30 PM on 8/13. It's now JohnnyJett's turn.


Johnny Jett - You are up next. You have until 6:30 AM on August 15 to make your choice.



The list of drafters have dwindled down and people have gotten busy. So maybe we should wrap things up soon?


As for remaining edits, I think we can add them to the next draft. If they want, the creators of the remaining edits could continue working on them and give them moves, logic for the next draft.

So you are saying that for the next draft we should only use the remaining edits that no one drafted at all.  But we shouldn't use the remaining edits that are still on the board as a result of being chosen non-exclusively. 

For example: We should keep DP08 for the next draft since no one picked that edit. But we shouldn't keep Medic 1 because he was chosen but it wasn't exclusively.   

I think that does make sense.

What does everyone else think?  Should we use all the edits that are still eligible for the next draft or only use the eligible edits that weren't already chosen by someone who got to use them non-exclusively?

With Johnny's last two fun picks, I have taken him off the list as well.


I think we're pretty much at the close of this but I want to check with the remaining 2 members.


We're down to just knocked and jetlag - I'm not sure if they still want to be involved.

I would say go with what you would rather do. If there are some of your unchosen edits that you want to make into full edits (and even modify appearances while doing so), you can definitely do that. If you want to keep them as appearance-only (and modify if you want), that is fine too. There's no pressure either way.

Thanks for the further vote on whether we should bring over the "still eligible but chosen" edits to the next draft. I agree that we should probably let them count as "chosen" for the purposes of not using them again for the next draft. It's simpler that way and people are already going to use them.

Okay, I think we're about wrapped up then. Knocked made his final picks.

Knocked's last pick is Goose Egg 4. I drafted him earlier but did so non-exclusively so that someone else could also draft him. Knocked will be the only other one besides me to have Goose Egg 4. Knocked gets Jett 12 & 15 non-exclusively since he missed his window during those previous rounds.


I'll give Jetlag time to make his final picks as well. His last pick for Round 14 will be exclusive and any picks for previous rounds that he missed will be non-exclusive, much as I did for Knocked's recent picks.

Updated Draft Choice list - in Spoilers below

I'm happy to report that I finished the first draft of one of my newly won draft edits!! 👏

That shouldn't be a huge announcement but it is for me.  I've completed an embarrassing average of just 2-3 new edits a year in the past two years. The fact that I finished an edit within a few weeks of drafting him is a miracle.   Just goes to show how much I got into this and how happy I am with who I got. 

DP's draft wrestler formerly known as DP19 was renamed to Manuel Gutierrez by me. He's the first one I completed. Even though he was my 8th draft pick, there was something about him that made me want to finish him first. And so far, so good. His first sim against Head Trainer Barton Miller was very impressive.



That's his training attire. Still testing him but very glad with what I see. 

That's his finisher too which I'm renaming to "Last Call" since he's a club bouncer. 

I have two other edits at around 50% status.  Completing Manuel gave me more confidence 😎



Edit:  Also, I just put a notice in the first post mentioning that the draft was officially over.    

Jetlag can still make his final two picks as I mentioned two weeks ago. 

And people can feel free to continue discussing the edits that they drafted. 


I'll have a new thread up in the coming months preparing the next draft.  A few of you are already working on edits so keep doing that. I can run the draft in late December if people don't mind waiting that long. If people want to start the draft sooner and don't mind putting it together and running it, that is fine by me too.  I do recommend waiting at least 2 months to allow people to work on creating new edits though - especially since the focus of the new draft will be completed edits (though appearance-only edits are still allowed).
