Sometimes when I'm making edits I come up with names and then I find out they aren't original. I don't have the vast knowledge of wrestling as some of you so i thought I could make a thread to ask certain things when google isn't my friend.
My first question. Has there ever been a wrestler (or edit) named El Rey Diablo or El Rey Diablo Jr. ?

There's a band, but not an actual wrestler, who has that name, to my knowledge.
Though, I may change the name of my Hijo del Starman to Starman Jr. or Starman II, to not confuse our sons of Starman.

Not to be OT but I remember how sad I was to find out La Femme Nikita Koloff had already been used. I still made the gimmick anyway (basically Koloff in a skirt).

I made an awesome tag team called the Insane Clown Posse back in the day. I had no idea where the phrase came from. I was more than a little surprised to find out that there was a rap group called that, but then on top of it they started wrestling as a tag team in WCW, lol.
My Insane Clown Posse is still way better. I might just need to make them a stable.

I might just need to make them a stab Reminds me of Flight of the Conchords where the manager is talking about someone doing a cover version of their hit song. Something like "the problem is their cover version came out 20 years before our original version. Do you think that's bad?" |

I just had this happen a couple days ago. I came up with a sexy librarian character named Paige Turner, since I need more stupid manager types. Turns out there's a drag queen that goes by that name. I may still use it, but I can fall back on Rita Book if I need to. What do y'all think?

I didn't take the name, but as a kid I somehow created Ivan Koloff straight up except my guy didn't wear shoes. That became one of my biggest characters for years that I invested a lot in. My heart sank when I realized how similar they were, I must have subconsciously remembered Ivan from the Legends of Wrestling games. I'm not sure what to do, I'm too attached to him to alter too much, but I don't want a straight rip off. |
