Four years ago, I created a Jason Voorhees hockey mask and full edit using Parts Craft. Putting Jason together was a lot of fun, yet I always wanted to go a step further and create more attires. Specifically, costumes from Jason's other iconic movie appearances. Out of all of Jason's looks, perhaps the coolest Jason design would have to be: Uber Jason from the movie Jason X. I'm currently in the process of designing a Parts Craft layer piece of Uber Jason's iconic mask; which players will be able to use with their own edits.

While I've created hundreds of Parts Craft pieces, I've also released numerous edits using original Fire Pro pieces. Looking back, I forgot just how beautiful and visually-intricate edits in Fire Pro World can be. A non-Parts Craft retro Lara Croft. Blasto. Soul Calibur IV and III versions of Astaroth. Nightwolf's various depictions from the Mortal Kombat franchise over the years. The Creeper (Jeepers Creepers) Eiffel 65.

Despite being a Wrestling fan for decades, I was drawn to Fire Pro World for it's depth of community creations. Being able to search for the most obscure character reference and finding them within the Workshop within a few clicks inspired me to take the plunge from the comfort of playing the older Fire Pro titles front-to-back, to trying my hand at the world stage. Since just about every well-known Wrestler and legend was already available in the Workshop, I turned my attention to pushing World's edit mode to new limits; opting to create the most random creations I (or anyone else for that matter) could think of using base (and later DLC) pieces. For a short period of time, I was getting so many requests (read: challenges) that I temporarily changed my handle to 'RequestMaker'. Today, a large portion of my Workshop continues to consists of those user-submitted requests. But I digress... Before we had Parts Craft and mods, there was more of a challenge to create characters from scratch. Looking back in retrospect, there is certainly a humble honesty to those older edits. A charm that just can't be replicated with the photo-accurate quality Parts Craft has afforded us in recent times. Instead of just creating the perfect edit piece(s), I had to get a bit more creative; constantly experimenting with the tools World had already given us. Here's a few more older selections from my workshop that were put together pre-Parts Craft. Let's start with.... Mickey Mouse. Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy series). Shiva (Final Fantasy series). Magician's Assistant (Beetlejuice). Harry The Hunter (Beetlejuice).

Time and time again, Fire Pro players would challenge me with character requests. While some may think it's sacrilege to fill the Workshop with fictional edits, to me, these examples demonstrate just how versatile Fire Pro World's creation mode really is. Being a sprite designer myself, I can't imagine how many hours were invested, or how many artists were involved in making World's edit mode as comprehensive as it is. Once again, here's some more throwback releases from my Workshop: Mr. Potato Head. Mrs. Potato Head.

Blurring the line between creativity and insanity, here are more of my Pre-Parts Craft creations: Adam Sandler. Chris Farley (R.I.P.). A bald eagle. Yeah, Tetsuya Naito's hair definitely came in handy here. Nurse (Silent Hill).

This past week, I have been going through seven years worth of Fire Pro World submissions that I had uploaded to the Steam Workshop. Many of which, admittedly, I had completely forgotten about. Again, the bulk of these creations were user requests. Some are nightmare-inducing. Some make me scratch my head in retrospect. Yet they remain, for better or for worse, as a part of my Fire Pro World portfolio. George Lucas. Ted from the movie Ted. The Angry Beavers. Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker. Reagan from The Exorcist. Hannibal Lecter. Don West. Starscream (Transformers). One time, I was asked to create a Platypus. Professor Genki (Saints Row).
