FFMPEG is the best for gifs as far as I know.
But the easiest way to get a quick video is actually to just make a YouTube upload.

GIPHY is easy and has been more reliable over the past few months. A year ago sometimes the videos wouldn't process correctly but it's been better and quicker recently. Plus you can output the GIFS different ways for posting in multiple places.
