I saw this last week - F1 has been dead for a while because there’s just no competition anymore - Hamilton/Vettel can start from last place and still be in a race winning position within two thirds of the race. I was hoping the 2021 regulations would change the status quo but rumours say they could be postponed a year. This sounds good though, a good idea to keep your fans entertained! I see this virus potentially accelerating the position of e-sports in mainstream culture. It’s going to attract a lot of awareness having sports stars across the world competing in this way.

Also, the Olympics have finally officially been postponed.

So they've basically done to F1 what Nadal/Federer/Djokovic have done to men's tennis the past 15 years, eh?

There's a large rift in driver and team ability. Outside of Mercedes and Ferrari (sole exception really being Red Bull's Max Verstappen) it's like a gulf between the other teams and them. More often than not, if you're in the front row, you're winning. Not an exciting formula. Unlike Formula E which is awesome. Thank goodness for Youtubers like OfficialMinis to make it seem more interesting.

Formula E is amazing, especially the in-race public voting for who gets power ups etc - just waiting for someone to get him with a mushroom and spin out!

I don't know if I should be happy or reviled that the NFL will most likely "push" a Mahomes vs Brady (i.e. Chiefs vs Buccaneers) Super Bowl for the upcoming season.

Normally, I would have a decent sized monologue about the NFL draft's 1st round, but I'm still trying to process what exactly the Packers were thinking.
I think Tim is in the same boat.

^with the big caveat that Rodgers was regarded as the top NFL-ready QB in his class by some analysts whereas Jordan Love has had the "project" label attached to him by everybody from the onset
Rodgers fell into the Packers' lap
The Packers actually traded up (shipping a 4th round pick as well) to take Love
They drafted a guy who might not even take a regular season snap for 4 more years (barring Rodgers' health and motivation) when they had holes to fill elsewhere
It's mind boggling at the moment but if Love turns out to be legit and actually becomes an elite then it will look genius. That's just the nature of these things. For now though, it's a true WTF kind of scenario.

I'm almost certain he'll turn out to be a worldbeater at some point, it's just the way things work for the Packers.

Yeah I wasn't paying enough attention to what they were doing to know for sure. I just figured a regarded project qb with a chance to sit behind a star qb for a few years seemed like the situation. Don't know if it was the right call

Now I'm starting to wonder if that pick was worse than Philly selecting Jalen Hurts in the 2nd. Holy shit. I feel like some of these GMs have severe cabin fever. Except for the Ravens. They are sadly once again making everyone look incredibly dumb with their steals.

Wentz can't finish a season and hurts can be used in other ways during the season on the field at the same time as Wentz.

That's true. They did win their Super Bowl as well without Wentz finishing the job. These owners are really putting the pressure on their QBs to produce.

I feel that Hurts' ceiling is Charlie Batch (exceptional backup that might even take over a game or two to win for his team) and he's more likely to be Chase Daniel (competent backup that will make mistakes but is generally among the better #2s in the league).
It's only a curious pick since he probably would have still been there in Rd 3 but I feel like he'll kick around the league for a while. He's not the most athletic guy around but he's pretty smart......when he has time to throw (believe it or not, some QBs still make dumb plays even with adequate protection).
