Hi.
I've downloaded a bunch of new wrestlers and despite turning off the game and returning, seeing their names appear on the loading screen at the start; when I go into edit mode - Team Edit - Transfer wrestler and then down to the retired section, there is absolutely nobody there.
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong here.
Extra info - I have downloaded many wrestlers before and they are all there but it's the first time I have played Fire Pro in say a couple of months and wanted to update it with more people but I am stuck now. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks.

I've had this happen on rare occasion. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to them and you should be good.

Thanks very much. I will try that tomorrow and let you know how I got on. Glad to hear that it isn't just me that it's happened to and therefore probably not something that I have done wrong.

Sadly it didn't work.
I unsubscribed from all of the downloads, started up my game, then came out of the game, subscribed to them all again, started the game and watched as their names loaded up again - and in the retired section there was nothing again. What the hell is wrong with this game?
anyone else having this problem?

Are you playing on PS4 or PC?
If on PC, when you turn the game on does it successfully do the download bar at startup, or is it skipping? If it is skipping it could be an issue with its network connection which is something I had happen once and thus it isn't downloading the new subscriptions. Unfortunately I don't exactly remember the fix but someone else probably would. Something in the Steam settings I believe.

What the hell is wrong with this game? anyone else having this problem? Are you playing on PS4? If so just unsubscribing on the FPW.net site doesn’t actually delete them from your game. You have to go into the FPW.net menu in the game and delete them from there. If you’ve unsubscribed online they will show their names in red in the FPW in game menu, that’ll make it easier to know who to delete from the big list. I’ll sometimes favourite a wrestler when unsubscribing it to find them easier when resubscribing later. Hope that helps.

Thanks Bourbonjungle. It is PS4 I am on.
I've tried this but the problem is, the downloads aren't in that section either. I assume you mean going on to FPW Net and then Uninstall item? If so, the wrestlers I'm not getting in my game (there's maybe about 20) aren't there either.
This is so confusing.

Yeah, go to the in-game Edit Mode Menu >FPW NET > Uninstall Item > Wrestler, which then takes you into the long list. Any wrestlers that are still in your game but are unsubscribed will show their names in red.
You can then press X to uninstall and confirm. Even if they haven't been transferred to a promotion they should appear in that list in the order in which they were downloaded.
If you've subscribed to someone and they never downloaded the only thing that makes sense to me is that you've hit the 1,000 custom wrestler cap and may need to delete other people for the newer subscriptions to download.

Yeah that's what I was worried about. That's exactly where I went to and the last one there was a Hogan I downloaded a few months ago. All my other AEW talent that I've downloaded still don't show up.
I have about 260 downloaded wrestlers so far.
I can't figure out why this isn't working. I've gone back to WWE2K19 for the time being.

There are two lists of "custom wrestlers"
One is for the subscribed wrestlers who will show up in that list, the other is wrestler edits that are saved locally. You have a total limit of 1,000 for all combined.
I've been saving the subscribed wrestlers so that I can edit in custom music and such, then deleted the subscribed version.
Not sure if you've got 740 wrestler edits preventing you from downloading any more subscribed characters?
I think even if your downloads included DLC that you haven't purchased they'd show up but be greyed out and unselectable.
Perhaps if there's a way to uninstall the whole game and start over? Seems like a strange issue.
The game is so much better now that I can run a Fire Promoter league w/ all the AEW edits and those of other feds, w/ custom music, logos and all that jazz.

Sadly I have just subscribed to about 260 wrestlers and made no edits myself.
I've still got the problem of all the names of the new ones showing up on the loading screen but then nowhere to be seen on my game.
Is the only option really to delete all my save data and uninstall the whole game?
Anyone else had this issue?
Thanks for trying to help me out with it all, Boubonjungle. While I've got you, how do you go about doing custom music for the wrestlers? Is that possible on PS4 or is it only on the PC?

While I've got you, how do you go about doing custom music for the wrestlers? Is that possible on PS4 or is it only on the PC? It works on PS4. Took me a few attempts to get my MP3’s working, think I have a post with the exact specs in another thread on that topic. Believe I kept my files to under 1 minute. Unfortunately we’re limited to 40 tracks total. I picked a few classic themes, some for factions and some good songs I could use on a variety of wrestlers (Black Skinheads by Kanye, Attitude by the Misfits, Good Cop Bad Cop by Ice Cube, Best Around by Joe Esposito, Ace of Spades by Motörhead, Snoop Dogg, etc). For wrestler themes I just played them off YouTube from my phone and recorded them into audition, trimmed them to time and loaded them onto a USB in the appropriate folder (the game tells you, something like FPW > MUSIC). Then you can plug the USB into your ms4 and import in the appropriate menu. The worst part, by far, is you can’t assign music to subscribed wrestlers. So I did remote play on my phone, watched some docs (or wrestling) on my TV and slowly chipped away at saving all my downloads to the system and deleting the subscriptions so I could pick the entrance songs for each person. Then if I find a better download later I can download them, overwrite my custom version and not fuck up my year 7 Fire Promoter save. Having the logos and good themes now is a huge improvement. And it forced me to narrow each wrestler down to one definitive version instead of having variations of unknown quality.

and I know this has been said before, but you’ve definitely gone to edit team, transfer wrestler and checked the retired group?

It's something I'll have to work on over the weeks (probably months with the way time flies) but something I'll be happy to be doing so that eventually I get a more authentic feel for my game. Nice one.
