sluggbugg - I don't think I'm going to go all out on custom parts on my edits - not everyone really needs a custom part

Ah, nice to see you posting some amazing parts on both Workshop and firepro-w.com, Avenger. It is really great how much attention to detail you have given them.
I am curious, but do you have plans to make specific face paint design parts for a few select individuals, like Hawk's iconic red and black "Joker" paint (since his default head in the game uses the "Eagle" paint design) and Ultimate Warrior, for example?

Not sure how much time I'll be spending on custom parts yet - I've mostly just been focusing on getting my old parts into the game as well as making some Photoshop actions to help get some basic parts done quickly and easily. After finishing up a slightly more detailed edit with custom parts today, I may be focusing more on generic parts that can be helpful on more than one edit. There's going to be exceptions, for sure. Keep an eye on the Workshop over the next few weeks for some incredible designs from some other people if you want some extremely realistic looking parts. There's some really awesome parts creators who haven't started uploading yet.

I'm trying out one edit with a ton of custom parts to see how it goes - not sure what the demand for custom parts on edits is going to be. Here's the first edit I ever made in World, now updated with a handful of custom parts: CM Punk steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2055959313

Terrific appearance. Are the custom parts needing to be downloaded individually or do they download along with the workshop edit? What happens if the edit (now updated) was downloaded before the parts were added? Good questions - I’ve set the parts used as required on Steam. When you download this edit, you should get a pop up with the parts needed. If I add a new custom part to the edit, I don’t think it will download that part automatically, but I could be wrong. I don’t plan on adding additional custom parts to this one, though. However, if you’re missing a custom part but have Parts Craft, the parts you don’t have will just be invisible instead of the edit getting locked.

WOW! That CM Punk with all the costum parts is a masterpiece. The Best in the World entrance shirt is great! BTW... somebody made some full hand taped fists. They fit perfectly on your CM Punk edit. EDIT: Did you create the Chops, Mustache & the Fu Manchu beard parts specific for Harley Race? IMO they look great on your Harley Race edit...

I didn’t make those parts with Harley specifically in mind, but they were meant to work in combination to form some different facial hair combos that are tricky to do with regular Fire Pro parts.
I’m wary of using someone else’s parts for a few reasons, with the biggest being that if the author pulls the item from the workshop, I believe it’ll be deleted from every subscriber’s Craft folder the next time they log in. I think the best case scenario there is a missing part, but if they remove a base layer (like a custom head), I have a feeling the whole edit will be locked, potentially even for me as well.

You could copy parts' sprite sheets to the general craft folder, then unsubscribe from the originals and republish them, but keep them hidden That'd make it tough for people who use your edits that you might have said custom parts on, though, so iono The forced workshop side of this is a real pain
