Vandal Hearts
A Konami game (i.e. 0 chance of the IP being renewed) in the vain of Final Fantasy Tactics but a bit easier. We got Vandal Hearts 1 and 2 on PS1 and then a surprise Xbox Live title on the 360, that was far from the original.
There needs to be more SRPGs and ones that give you choice without being overwhelming, memorable characters and world building an gameplay that is captivating and rewarding.
Nostalgia drives me to either see the series return or the original games get the modern HD treatment :)

I loved those games, you’re right, they are great and do deserve another look! I don’t remember specifics, but I seem to remember a really cool, unique take on the typical combat mechanics of the day that was a lot of fun to play. Nice call!

I really miss Katamari games on console
I don't play games on my phone or any other handheld platform so I'm like a decade out of being current with the series
Really loved this mindless games with the great, weird music

As soon as I read this post, this song immediately began playing in my head (it plays in my head a lot, actually... Yo, this would make a great RINGTONE!)! I loved the Katamari games, they were so bizarre and experimental, and in that era, such games were still quite common. John Carmack captured and coalesced my thoughts concisely in saying that games are often "focused grouped to death" these days because of the financial and time investments involved, and as such, they lose that creative charm and roughness that was once acceptable for them to have. Katamari games were such a fun distraction and break from the AAA titles, and so much fun to show to friends that only play sports and fps games! And yeah, the music is incredible, and totally suits the on screen lunacy (I find Konami has always had consistently great soundtracks for their games right up there with Nintendo's classics)! Nice pick!

There was a time around 2005-2007 where I may have had the most fun gaming that I've ever had.
That time was led by Katamari (specifically We Love Katamari), other quirky PS2 and DS games.
I routinely have Katamari songs in my head. It is such an excellent game and is just pure fun for me 😎
I think the ice skating/snow ball stage is like THE most relaxing stage of any game ever created. ❄
I keep telling myself I'm gonna load up WLK on my PS2 but I can't seem to take KOF 2002: UM out ever, LOL.

Yeah, key word there is FUN, that was a good era, lots of out there stuff on PS2, GameCube, Dreamcast, and DS. Still not a ton of in game adds, but they were starting (crazy taxi, ssx, every ea sports game), and stuff could still be marketable even without a recognizable licence. It’s sad that Konami is basically a shell of what they used to be, maybe they and Tecmo will look at Capcom’s resurgence and start making the good stuff they were known for back in that era! Also, did anyone here ever play these games back in the day? Bust a Groove 1 & 2My friends and I used to play one and two, and we’d end up having tournaments and talking a lot of shit while crushing each other on the dance floor! Usually came out between street fighter/Tekken/soul Calibur or madden/NHL tournaments. Odd, yes, but we had a blast playing these games!

What in the hell ever happened to Viewtiful Joe? I seem to remember that being a pretty bad ass game (or two), and that it was quite popular. It seems to have completely vanished, Ministry of truth style, from video game speak (maybe it went to go visit other old, missing favourite words of mine like “democracy” and “monopoly”...). Wouldn’t another viewtiful joe be a bit of alright?

Wouldn’t another viewtiful joe be a bit of alright? I know a lot of the guys who worked on it went on to form Platinum Games, and a lot of them were on the Bayonetta team specifically, which is why she does his kick, as well as a few other subtler (well, subtle for Bayonetta, I guess?) references. I don't know who owns the IP, though, so maybe that's a hurdle. I do know Hideki Kamiya of Platinum doesn't really dig sequels (with Bayonetta being an exception, partially because Nintendo specifically contracted him to make another one) so maybe that's part of it, too. It would be cool to see a comeback, though.

This is not a game that needs a Revival, but an OPPONENT! Does anyone remember how creepy the FLOOD in the original HALO was? Holy shit, all of those little popcorn dudes chasing you, and the big, creepy mutie bastards, all of the shit all over the walls and stuff, wow!
The robots are lame, we need flood fodder and other covenant dudes to fight at the same time again! I haven’t been interested enough to finish a 343 lead halo, somehow I find them boring, and I even finished ODST!
Bring back the FLOOD! 🥗🦔🦑🐸

Rugby Challenge is the first name that comes to mind. I know I'll put in something else later. As of this post, Rugby Challenge 4 got announced in September, and just now with a week to go until release with little to no additional information and advertising, gets delayed. This isn't the first time a game in this series did this.
It kinda makes me frustrated in Tru-Blu.

I'd be beyond stoked if they remade Omikron:The Nomad Soul. The game is brilliant, but marred by technical issues and very dated graphics. I'm not sure they'd be able to use David Bowie's voiceover work, though.
Blade Runner from Westwood Studios is another one, but won't get remade or re-released for obv reasons

More fuel for the bring back Tenchu argument. I was really hoping Sekiro would be more Tenchu-ish, but alas... one of my favourite UNLOCKABLE (gasp! Not DLC?!?) game characters of all time, Tesshu!

Sphinx & the Cursed Mummy from PS2. A remake would be nice but a sequel would be even better since the game ended on a cliffhanger.
