What is the Grand-Prix Championship? - The Grand-Prix Championship is here to showcase all the newcomers to the Fire Pro Wrestling Alliance after Fire Pro Wrestling World came out.
What are the stipulations? - Match stipulations are flexible, but GP Division matches will NOT take place under Deathmatch or MMA rules. (Cage matches will be allowed, but only on special occasions)
Who qualifies?
1) You joined the Roster when/after Fire Pro Wrestling World entered Early Access (July 11, 2017); this means any edits from the Arena/Person Pack before World was released are no longer eligible.
2) Your edit adheres to the criteria of the Official Roster (200 pts and under, no Cement).
3) Edits from the Free Agent thread will NOT be eligible or used for this division UNLESS their handlers sign them up here, as the Free Agents will already be populating other divisions (such as the ANARCHY and Battlefront divisions) to fill them out.
4) Of course, make sure to link to your edit's Workshop page when you sign them up. :)
NOTE: It's NOT necessary to actually RUN any fed for you to sign up edits, since edit sign-ups can simply be "I'll sign up edit X", or "I'll sign up edits X, Y, and Z", or even "I'll sign up the whole roster of my fed".
On that particular note, if you DO sign up your whole fed's roster for the division, booking your edits might have to get creative to avoid constant overlap of your own edits facing each other frequently for the GP Title/Title contendership.
How will this work?
The Grand-Prix Championship Gauntlet is taking place this month before MILESTONE: Alliance Rising between the current champion Sammi Rai and most of the losers of the Contendership Battle Royal from Arena Rising last year (entry order is determined by the order of elimination from the previous battle royal).
The winner goes on to MILESTONE to defend the belt against last year's Star Of The Jar, El Menton.
(On a related note: the Star Of The Jar for each year shall receive an automatic offer for a Grand-Prix Championship match at the Alliance Supershow that takes place after it, that they may accept or refuse at their own discretion.)
After MILESTONE, the ENTIRE division will be reset (except for the champion), and it will then be repopulated using all the sign-ups from this thread.
What's with the belt images at the top of the post?
The full-size belt on top is for you to use in promotional graphics and video bits, while the image below it is the custom Fight! graphic that will go in your fight graphics folder to use via Carlzilla's Mod Pack (or Mod Suite if you're still running World version 1.02).
(If the Save As dialog for the Fight! graphic reads "%20" instead of a space, replace it with a space for proper syntax)
If you sign your edit up to the Grand-Prix Championship Division, they will stay active specifically in the Grand-Prix Championship Division (until whatever time you decide to remove them from the division) and you are giving perpetuity permission (similarly to the Free Agents thread) for them to get actively booked in this division (regardless of when matches take place) by anybody holding GP Division matches until you decide to remove them from being booked in this division.
Similarly to the Internet Championship, anyone who wishes to book Grand-Prix Championship matches (or exhibition matches if they so wish) may do so by reserving a match in this thread, with the difference being that they can ONLY book edits from the GP roster.
(I don't want to run this division solo, and this style feels like a good way to get more people involved. :) )
The Grand-Prix Champion is automatically a part of the division until they lose the Championship, at which point, their handler will then have the ability to opt their edit out of the division if they so wish.
If you have any additional questions as to rules or whatnot from this division, you're welcome to ask, and any answers will be added to this post.
