Summer, 1984. Eleven-year-old me is flipping through the channels and comes across this:
That’s all it took — I was addicted. At every chance, I flipped through the channels of our giant satellite dish, soaking in any wrestling I could find…AWA, NWA, Continental, Mid-South, WWF…I loved them all. As I grew up, my interest in wrestling hit peaks and valleys, but never entirely went away.
In my 20s, it led me to become a huge fan of Japanese wrestling, an obsession which eventually caused me to stumble upon Fire Pro Wrestling S: 6-Man Scramble on the Sega Saturn.
And I was addicted all over again.
For over 20 years, I’ve thought about starting an e-fed via Fire Pro. So here we go — it’s an alternate reality version of the era of wrestling that originally got me hooked, experienced the way 11-year-old me would’ve imagined it.

Love this! There's so much content on this forum that I'm only now coming across. Anymore to come, Guacamole Anderson? Also, the background song is Crockett's Theme by Jan Hammer. I love synth chill out but I'm also old enough to respect the original Miami Vice. Keep it coming!
Yes, more to come. I'm really just going to stick to doing short "episodes" on YouTube. As well as streaming from time to time if there's enough interest.
I'm using these prologues to set up my championship tournament, which I'll release soon.
My brother and I used to do a paper-and-pencil sim when we were kids because we thought it would be cool if there was a promotion that had all the wrestlers, with one world champion... 35 years later, I now have a video game that makes that a reality. Life is good.
