 The flow state can be many things. To some, it is being 'in the zone', where nothing can disrupt their focus and are enjoying the moment at hand. To others, it is where the brain becomes its most productive, as actions and awareness merge to become one; seemingly effortless in their activities.(.flow is a efed I plan on producing. For trivial naming conventions, you can say "dot flow" or simply flow. This is merely a placeholder post. The logo may not even be final. I'll explain more in a later post.) |

Thank you for the responses, everyone. Things are still in the planning phase, and yet I wanted to do this. --Tokyo, Japan. The first day of a new era in Japan's history begins to conclude. Naruhito ascended to the Chrysanthemum Throne after the abdication from his father, Emperor Akihito to become Japan's 126th Emperor. Celebrations were in abundance across the cluster of Asian islands, as the Reiwa era begins.Inside the spacious confines of the SPIKE-CHUNSOFT Dome, a new era was also beginning to take form. MILESTONE: Alliance Rising 2019 marked the beginning of NorthStarLion's reign as the CRITICAL! Club World Champion after defeating longtime rival "The Villain" Allen Riggs.After a couple of days of taking it all in, he wanted to address the formation of a new promotion he had developed in his mind.(NorthStarLion enters from the left with his newly-won C!C World Championship belt, and places it on a table, aside from the plethora of microphones placed at the center. NSL addresses his audience with a deep, respectful bow, as the flutters and snaps of cameras greet him, along with cheers and applause. NSL then takes a seat.) NSL: "I am aware that we are still in this midst of a festive week. A larger Golden Week than usual, the start of Reiwa, and Alliance Rising from a couple days ago. If I may, I'd like to address as much as I can about a promotion I'd like to develop. I have given it the name .flow." What's the origin of the name .flow?NSL: ".flow comes from the positive psychological term flow state. It's like being "in the zone" or at peak performance. The period or dot is to emulate going to that state (think internet domains) or executing getting into flow state (think executable file formats)."
What is the vision for .flow?NSL: "In my travels around the world, I've learned one constant. Ice Grenade. UBL. Training in contrasting locales like New Mexico and Thailand. Even AAW. Professional Wrestling is one of the most unique forms of art there is, and yet it can be formless. Men, women, those beyond the binary. Everyone that is a Professional Wrestler, a fighter, a sports entertainer, has an art form to display onto the Squared Circle, developed from a multitude of backgrounds and cultures, to express to an audience who are also there to interact and react. My vision for .flow is to aid in the development of those wrestlers who, who have trained, honed and sacrificed their bodies over time to perfect their craft. How they develop is ultimately up to them. I'd like to showcase those talents the best way I can."
"Ultimately, the foundation for this vision starts with the Indomitable Wrestling Institute, the gym I own and operate along with the legendary Johnnie Weatherford in Jersey City. We have a crop of talent there who as a collective want to display their art in that ring in front of a bigger, global stage, crafted by their own hands. A few have already competed in some of the finest competitions, federations and tournaments on offer, but now want to show more of what they're like in their own home promotion." What are the initial plans for .flow?
NSL: "I'd like to call this phase the 'blueprint' phase. We're still adding in more members of our roster that will become our core when we officially do our first shows in October. There are some plans I'd like to use that other well-known federations are using, yet some innovations I'd like to show off." - The main singles title will be known as the .flow Openweight Championship, eligible for everyone.
- The tag-team titles have been given the tentative name of the ".flow Absolute Duo Championship." NSL explains that his familiar Camera Ninja came up with the name.
- There will be a title that will be won and defended exclusively in 6-person Scramble matches. This has been given the name the .flow 6Way Championship.
- To be eligible for the Openweight Championship, a wrestler must have at least four consecutive wins in singles competition.
- Influenced by ZIP Japan, NSL would like .flow to have a mainline show every two weeks, unless otherwise noted.
- NSL and Johnnie Weatherford were still in the early stages of planning when he mentioned ideas for something referred to as the Iron Slam Tournament, a one-night tournament influenced by shoot style wrestling and MMA, and the Iron Slam title, which has the same goal in mind.
- Invitational tournaments and leagues were considered.
- Pro-Luta Brasil, a promotion in Brazil that NSL had a hand in developing and had UBL's support, would be restructuring and looking to finally launch in 2020 with the help of .flow. The promotion cited that lack of lucrative sponsorship deals dulled the progress of the league.
After this, the conference wrapped up with NSL hoping for the best for this new era, and made another deep respectful bow before exiting with the championship title. |

This is how to plan a new promotion - giving yourself months of lead time to prepare everything before the first show(s) are ready. I love this approach. I publicly announced UBL 6 months after initially planning it and didn't even start posting shows til like 9 months after I started planning. This is going to be an excellent promotion.
